Beacon Help is not just a charity organization. When 14 distinguished individuals sat down behind their screens to discuss the prospect of running a charity organization we knew we had to come up with a goal.
“If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy and inspires your hopes.” —Andrew Carnegie
COVID-19 was surely a chaotic situation but we kept pinning to the bigger picture: HUNGER. Our country has millions of people below the poverty line; of which many die of malnutrition. Statistics show a horrifying number of kids stunned every year and there is no end of empty stomachs craving the littlest of morsel. When we started Beacon Help, we came up with a goal. We thought to ourselves that even if the pandemic dies out we have an on-going hunger crises that worsens every day.
We wrote it down.
One sentence, simple terms.
To alleviate hunger from the face of Pakistan.
Our goal, another statement of simplicity yet of great power.
Goal: Identify needy people, evaluate their needs, generate funds for them and deliver them the needed assistance
Our method was precise, too. We identified needy people from various sources. At the back end, we had our Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) run calls and verification on the needs of these identified people. Once we were sure that the said party needed food or funds, we would immediately dispatch them.
We ensured to our fullest capability that the funds given to us shall go where they belong. Thus, we implore you to put your trust in us.
